Privacy Policy
Analytics to improve the site. No ads. Nothing sold.
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy covers onlyconversion.com and the enquiries sent through it. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible, so it describes what actually happens rather than everything that might conceivably happen.
The short version: this website uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see which pages are useful. Visitors in the UK and Europe are asked first, and analytics cookies are set only if they agree. It runs no advertising and sells nothing. The only personal information we hold about you is what you type into the contact form, plus the IP address the form arrives from.
- Cookies by consent
- In the UK and Europe, analytics cookies are set only if you click Allow analytics.
- Analytics, not ads
- Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. No ad pixel.
- Google and Microsoft
- Google and Microsoft, for analytics. Fonts are hosted here.
- 30 days
- To have everything we hold about you deleted, on request.
Who we are
OnlyConversion is a digital marketing practice based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, working with clients in India, the United States and elsewhere. It currently operates as a sole proprietorship rather than an incorporated company.
For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, write to hello@onlyconversion.com. That address reaches a person, and it is the same address used for data-protection questions and complaints.
What we collect
Only what you send us. There is no account to create, nothing to log in to, and no profile built about you in the background.
When you submit the contact form, the following is sent to us by email and written to a log file on our server:
- Name
- Required. Used to address the reply.
- Work email
- Required. Used to send the reply.
- Phone
- Optional. Only used if you ask us to call.
- Company
- Optional. Helps us look at the right business.
- Website URL
- Optional. So we can look before we answer.
- Service interest
- Optional. Routes the enquiry to the right person.
- Your message
- Optional, and the most useful field on the form.
- IP address
- Collected automatically. Recorded with the enquiry, and used to rate-limit the form against spam.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server access logs, as every web host does. Those are managed by the host, not by us.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To reply to you, and to carry on the conversation if it becomes one. Nothing else. We do not use enquiry data for advertising, we do not build audiences from it, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in a contact form.
Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted a business asking it to reply, and replying requires holding your message and your address long enough to do so. Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we process the information for the purpose you provided it for, which is to receive a response.
The IP address is a separate case. It is held for security rather than for marketing: an unthrottled public form is the standard way a small website gets used to send spam, and the rate limit that prevents it needs to know which requests came from the same place.
Who else sees it
Nobody we can avoid, and nobody who pays us for it. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not pass it to other agencies.
Three parties are unavoidably involved in delivering a message from your browser to our inbox:
- Our web host, Hostinger, which runs the server the form posts to and stores the log file. Depending on the data centre serving this site, that processing may happen outside your own country.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores the enquiry email in the same way it stores any other email we receive.
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as a court or a regulator with a valid order. This has not happened, and if it did we would tell you unless prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep it
Longer than a single reply needs, because business conversations restart months later, but not indefinitely.
- Enquiries that do not become work
- Deleted within 24 months of the last contact.
- Enquiries that become client work
- Kept for the engagement, then as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep business records.
- The enquiry log file
- Rotated once it reaches 2MB. Rotated copies are deleted on the same 24-month basis.
- Spam rate-limit records
- A hashed form of the IP address plus timestamps, held for one hour and then expired.
If you would rather not wait for any of that, ask and we will delete it sooner.
What this website does not do
This section is unusually short for a privacy policy, and it is the part most worth reading. Each line was verified against the built site rather than assumed:
- It sets analytics cookies only where the law allows. In the UK and Europe they are set only after you click Allow analytics. Choose No thanks and none are set. Elsewhere, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run without asking.
- It stores one thing in your browser: your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again. No session storage.
- It runs two analytics tools. Google Analytics 4 shows which pages are read and which lead to enquiries. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can see where they confuse people. Anything typed into a form is masked in those recordings. No Tag Manager, no advertising pixel.
- Your browser loads the Google Analytics script from googletagmanager.com and the Microsoft Clarity script from clarity.ms. If you are in the UK or Europe and have not allowed analytics, Clarity does not load at all, and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
- It contains no advertising and no retargeting tags.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity were added on 7 October 2026, and this section changed with it. Google and Microsoft process this data under their own terms, and we do not use it for advertising. To change your choice, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do all of the following, and we will do it:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Send you a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop using it, including stopping any further contact from us.
Write to hello@onlyconversion.com. We aim to respond within 30 days, and there is no charge. We will not ask you to justify the request or route you through a retention conversation first.
If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In India, you may raise a grievance with us at the same address and, if unsatisfied, refer it to the Data Protection Board of India.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. The log file that keeps a copy of each enquiry is blocked from public access at the server level, and we test that it is not reachable from the web.
We should be straightforward about the limit of that: enquiry emails sit in an ordinary mailbox, and email is not an especially private medium. If what you need to tell us is genuinely sensitive, say so in a short message first and we will agree a better channel before you send the detail.
Children
This is a business-to-business website and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top of this page is the date it last changed. If the change is material, such as adding analytics or a new way of collecting information, the summary at the top will say what changed rather than leaving you to compare versions.
